Locum Part-Time Child Psychiatrist in Petaluma, CA

Our facility is seeking a residential child psychiatrist to supply care in the surrounding areas of Petaluma, CA. 

Setting: Residential 

Hours: 10-30 hours

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm

Assignment Type: Locum

Assignment Length: 6 months with the option to extend

Additional Requirements: 

• Must be BC in General
• Must be child trained (BC is a plus)
• Must be trained or have addiction experience (BC is a plus)
• Experience with prevention medication is a plus
• Must be willing to be in person 1-2 days per week, the rest can be remote

Details: 

Total Hospital Beds – 28 total patients. Patients MUST be seen once every 7 days.

They do prefer the provider to see patients during the day (from 9a-12p) and spend time in the afternoon calling parents (parents have to be called in order to change meds IF needed), completing notes, doing med refills. This is also so patients can be pulled from school since they are in treatment in the afternoons.

Please note- not all patients are on medications, most of the time it's a check in and can be a few mins.

Patient Popuation: 13-17 year old boys

Beds Seen: Flexible, must see all patients every 7 days.

Admissions/Day: 0-2

Discharges/Day: 0-1

Average LOS: a few months, depending on the individual treatment plan
