Position Overview
Part-time locum opportunity for a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient behavioral health setting serving adolescents and adults with severe mental illness, including conditions such as major depression, panic disorders, and bipolar disorder. This role is ideal for clinicians experienced in managing complex psychiatric cases in a structured, supportive environment.
Schedule & Setting
Flexible part-time schedule, approximately 16 hours per week, with the option to increase hours based on availability. Standard clinic hours are weekdays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hybrid model with a preference for some in-person presence; candidates should have prior experience delivering virtual care to high-acuity populations.
Patient Care
Manage a daily caseload of approximately 10 patients, with 30-minute medication management visits and 60-minute initial evaluations. Patient population is age 17+ with a focus on severe and persistent mental illness.
Assignment Details
Locum tenens assignment anticipated to last 3–6 months, with potential for extension or permanent placement. Expedited onboarding available, with an anticipated start timeline of 2–3 weeks or sooner for qualified candidates.
Compensation & Support
Competitive hourly compensation based on provider type and experience, plus malpractice coverage. You’ll be supported by a multidisciplinary team including therapists, administrative staff, and clinical leadership, with onboarding and training provided for internal systems.
Practice Environment
Collaborative outpatient setting with strong clinical infrastructure. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners may practice independently where applicable, with supervision available if needed.
