Job Description

Position Overview

Part-time Locum Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist opportunity with a growing outpatient mental health practice. This position includes providing psychiatric care to primarily children and adolescents while supervising Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in a collaborative behavioral health setting.

Schedule & Location

Flexible, very part-time schedule with the ability to work remotely, onsite, or a combination of both. The position will begin with a few hours per week and has the potential to increase to up to 8–10 hours weekly as the practice continues to grow.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management

  • See approximately 8–10 patients per day when scheduled

  • Supervise and provide clinical consultation to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners

  • Participate as the designated supervising psychiatrist/medical director for regulatory purposes as needed

  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

  • Active New York medical license

  • Medicare and Medicaid enrollment required

  • Comfortable supervising advanced practice providers

  • Experience treating pediatric and adolescent patients

  • Additional language skills are a plus

Compensation
