Part-time Locum Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist opportunity providing inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents in a state-operated behavioral health facility. This role focuses on treating pediatric patients with complex behavioral health needs in a structured inpatient setting.
40-hour per week schedule consisting primarily of afternoon and evening shifts. Weekend scheduling offers some flexibility. This is a long-term locum opportunity with an initial 6–9 month assignment and the option to extend.
Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment
Care for children and adolescents ages 6–18
Manage approximately 10–12 inpatient beds
Participate in admissions, treatment planning, and discharge planning
Treat patients with complex psychiatric presentations, including forensic, substance use, and eating disorder cases
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team
Active New York medical license
Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Minimum of 10 years of inpatient psychiatric experience
Experience treating forensic, substance use, and eating disorder populations
