Position Overview
Full-time inpatient psychiatrist opportunity working with a geriatric population in a dedicated behavioral health unit. This role focuses on treating patients age 65+ with conditions such as depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Ideal for providers interested in geriatric psychiatry, with fellowship training preferred but not required.
Schedule & Setting
In-person position within an inpatient setting operating 24/7. The role is structured as a 40-hour workweek with shared weekend call responsibilities. The unit supports a manageable census, allowing for consistent, quality patient care.
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for patients in a geriatric inpatient unit. Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff on treatment planning, admissions, and discharges, while maintaining continuity of care throughout each patient’s stay.
