Job Description

Position Overview

Part-time Locum Psychiatrist opportunity with an outpatient behavioral health program serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, including individuals with developmental disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider seeking a flexible, low-hour commitment while working with a diverse patient population.

Schedule & Location

Flexible schedule averaging 8–12 hours per month. Providers will conduct patient visits remotely, with a commitment to periodic onsite clinical days (such as monthly, every other month, or quarterly). Initial locum assignment is three months with the option to extend.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management

  • Treat patients ages 6 and older

  • See approximately 12–15 patients during scheduled clinical days

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team

  • Opportunity to supervise an advanced practice provider for interested candidates

Candidate Requirements

  • Active New York medical license

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist

  • Medicare and Medicaid enrollment required

  • Comfortable treating pediatric and adult patients, including individuals with developmental disabilities

Compensation
