Position Overview

Full-time Medical Director opportunity with a nonprofit behavioral health organization providing substance use and mental health services across multiple levels of care. This leadership role combines clinical oversight with direct patient care, offering the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team while supporting high-quality addiction treatment services.

Schedule & Location

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Standard Monday–Friday daytime schedule. Primarily onsite, with hybrid scheduling available for the right candidate. Permanent and long-term locum candidates will be considered.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and oversight for multiple behavioral health programs

  • Supervise and support a team of psychiatric providers

  • Deliver direct patient care, including medication management and psychiatric evaluations for complex cases

  • Prescribe medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams across multiple treatment settings

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist

  • Experience in addiction psychiatry or substance use treatment

  • Must be able to prescribe medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan is a plus
